I think it might be something specific to this system because I have a Windows laptop with 0 problems, and a whole other older computer which also runs Manjaro which has no problems.įF doesn’t really have logs that I know of, so there’s no help there. I’ve seen recommendations about turning off hardware acceleration, but that didn’t help. Sometimes, I lose the “smooth scrolling”. I’ve gone so far as to re-install the entire OS back in like March. I’ve removed FF, deleted the profile folders, and re-installed. I’ve erased and re-created all the profiles. I’ve done the “refresh firefox” option several times, re-installing my addons as needed. The middle two weeks of a month are usually problem free, which is more odd than anything. The tab crashes become less frequent, and it won’t crash the entire browser quite as often. Until it doesn’t.īut then, for the first week of the next month, it will slowly taper off. Sometimes this leads to crashing the entire browser, but when it comes back up, restoring my session is usually successful, and everything will work fine again. Sometimes, when I restore the tab, it’ll work fine until I’m done with it, or it will crash again either instantly, or after some random period of time. I can have an open tab in one browser that I haven’t interacted with, and it’ll just crash. I often have my Daily Driver open on one screen, and one of the other two open on the other. Only the first two have an addon in common - ublock origin.Īll three profiles have random, persistent tab crashes and overall browser crashes. I’ve been having issues with Firefox tabs and the whole browser crashing repeatedly since like November of last year.
